Sun Face Pigment Control Fluid SPF 50+ Facial sunscreen to prevent sun spots UV light is the main cause of sun-induced skin damage, but high-energy visible (HEVIS) light can also induce free radicals that cause further stress to skin. Sunlight triggers an increase in melanin production which may lead to hyperpigmentation concerns such as sun spots. Eucerin Sun Face Pigment Control Fluid SPF 50+ is an everyday facial sunscreen for all skin types that helps to prevent sun-induced hyperpigmentation. The Advanced Spectral Technology combines broadband and photostable UVA/UVB filters¹ for very high UV protection with Licochalcone A to neutralize free radicals caused by UV and HEVIS light. The anti-pigment sunscreen also includes Glycyrrhetinic Acid which supports skin’s own DNA repair mechanism. The formula is further enriched with Thiamidol, an effective and patented ingredient that acts at the root cause of hyperpigmentation. It visibly reduces dark spots over time and, when used regularly, prevents their re-appearance. Eucerin Sun Face Pigment Control Fluid SPF 50+ has a pleasant light texture that absorbs quickly and is clinically and dermatologically proven to be well tolerated, even by sensitive skin. (1) Meeting the high standards for UVA and UVB protection defined by Cosmetics Europe. The levels of UVA protection are higher than the EU recommendation.

Main Findings

Among other clinical and dermatological studies, a Product in Use (PIU) study was conducted with 160 women (aged 25-55) in a hot and humid climate. All were regular users of sunscreen and whitening products. They reported the following results after first two and then four weeks of use:

    A great SPF
    This works really well. I've been using it for a few weeks and it has really helped with hyperpigmentation on my face, especially around my eyes. I've been complimented on how even my skin looks. I love the fact that it's a 2 in 1 product as I don't always have time to do a full skincare routine. It also feels and smells nice.

    Added parfum and my skin hates it
    I love the eucerin sun products. I typically use the photoaging control spf50 but wanted to try this one. I generally tolerate all of eucerins products with my reactive skin so I was disappointed that when i reacted to this and checked the ingredients. The added parfum at the end explained it all. Its unnecessary and too strong as well. Should've known as soon as i smelled it that i couldn't use it :( Stating something is well tolerated by sensitive skin and then using an ingredient sensitive skin doesn't like seems counter productive.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spf does the job of a serum, an spf, and doesn’t sting when I use it around the skin of the eyes. I have noticed a difference in my skin, it leaves it feeling incredibly cooled and soothed. I think it would be better if it was fragrance free, however, I’ve had no issues with sensitivities while using this product. Alone as an SPF, I’ve never gotten sun burnt when wearing this. When you reapply it, you’re also giving your skin a pigmentation treatment on top of the sun protection.
